March 8, 2014: Linda will be teaching "How to Make an Elevator Pitch" at the North Carolina Writers' Network Spring Conference Saturday April 12, 2014 in at the University of North Carolina Greensboro campus.
November 30, 2013: Linda has been invited to present workshops this year at the Pikes Peak Writer's Conference April 25-27, 2014. She'll be doing a pre-conference pitching workshop on the morning of April 24th "Pitch Perfect - 3 Steps to Getting Their Attention."

November 3, 2012: Linda is presenting her workshop The Second Log Line at the Fall 2012 North Carolina Writers' Network Conference.
June 6, 2012: An article Linda wrote for a national publication is used by her editor (and friend) Mike Ehret as an example in his blog "Writing on the Fine Line."

Writing Away Retreats were named among the top in the world by the Brazillian Magazine Epoca! (circ 500K).

The Pikes Peak Writers, who are kind enough to allow me to write for their "Writing from the Peak" blog every month, made a deal with PM to have their blog featured. My column is first for the new year on January 6th. I'm delighted.
Wednesday, November 17, 2010, Raleigh, NC - My New York Times #1 best-selling author friend Debbie Macomber made me promise that I would not tell anyone about something I coached her on. Until now. She talks about it in her new non-fiction book, God's Guest List. I'm featured in Chapter 3, starting on page 29. Now that's a list worth being on, and I'm both honored and humbled.

Saturday, May 1, 2010, Breckenridge, CO - I'm off to Colorado again, this time for the Writing Away Retreat. Many talented authors are coming to work on their manuscripts and I'm looking forward to being part of their success. The retreat boosts an eighty-five percent success rate of attending authors getting agented. I heard it was full, but then someone canceled so there might still be a chance to get in.
Thursday, April 1, 2010, Colorado Springs, CO - I'm looking forward to my time in Colorado coming up the end of this month when I speak at the Pikes Peak Writers Conference. My good friend Jodi Thomas is a keynote speaker. I'm excited for her because Jodi is up for yet another national award (a RITA) for her latest book The Lone Texan. This conference is always a winner. Can't wait.
